job detailsjob summary:A Design Technician is needed for the world's largest standalone medical technology development company in the Plymouth, MN area. This position will assist in the design, build, and test prototypes for products.location: Plymouth, Minnesotajob type: Contractsalary: $27.76 - 37.58 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Assist in the design, build, and test prototypes for products.

Communicate progress toward project objectives to engineers, project team members, and manager.

Plans and executes good laboratory techniques and testing using standard lab equipment.

Conducts experiments using judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

Performs engineering tests, collect data, and summarize results.

Assist the engineers throughout the process of product development and prototype generation.

Set up and conduct tests of complete units in support of characterization and design verification activities.

Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified prototypes for product concepts.

Use laboratory equipment, such as optical microscopes, calipers, hand tools, and specialized test equipment.

Influence the development of new products, equipment design, and test methods by providing data and feedback.

Collect samples, file required paperwork, and ensure the collection and archiving of research and development documentation.

Complete required training to demonstrate compliance with applicable policies.

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures within the work area.

Maintain the lab to comply with safety requirements and organizational principles
