Each summer intern will be placed on a team and assigned a meaningful project that’s tied directly to our strategic and tactical goals.These projects give interns the opportunity to think analytically, build a strong foundation. We provide several opportunities for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation package.There are four different opportunities within Amgen’s Global Business Solutions (GBS) Organization. The Global Business Solutions team enables Amgen functions to maximize value related to goods, services, people, and space.Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS)GSS is within the broader Finance and Global Business Solutions organization, provides strategic oversight and execution to manage our broad external spend. GSS utilizes a standard sourcing process.Global Learning Solutions (GLS)An internal center of experts providing effective and efficient training administration and learning solutions across Amgen. ​ ​​​​​​​The intern will have the opportunity to provide analytics and help manage GLS’s portfolio of learning solutions.Travel, Expense, and Card (TEC)Travel, Expense, and Card manages corporate expenses related to travel & employees. This group analyzes, tracks, & audits these corporate expenses to ensure Amgen Financial Policies are upheld.People ServicesPeople services supports payroll, mobility (relocations/immigration), HR technology, and global stock plans and benefits. The intern in People Services will work across these teams that provide direct support to Amgen’s employees.LiveThis could be your everydayLet’s do this. Let’s change the world. The passionate and driven individual we seek exemplifies the following qualifications.Basic QualificationsAmgen requires that all individuals applying for a undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred QualificationsDegree Concentration(s) in Education/Learning Technology, Organizational Development, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain/Sourcing or related field

Junior or above in standing

Ability to analyze, summarize, and present insights based on the needs of the audience

Independent self-starter

Demonstrated track record of identifying root causes to issues and proactively problem solving

Demonstrated success in partnering cross-functionally or with multiple stakeholder groups

Compelling and persuasive communicator (oral and written) with excellent interpersonal skills

Understanding of data analytics software
