This is a casual position General SummaryOperates a variety of standard and special-purpose still, motion picture, and/or video cameras in support of customer/company requirements.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)The Media Production Specialist is part of the Corporate Communications Team within Business Development at COLSA and is responsible for shooting and editing high-quality, innovative multimedia content to support the company's communications goals.

This position creates compelling videos and photographs for distribution across all internal and external communications channels to inform, engage, and entertain target audiences.

This role will be responsible for shooting and producing video content for multiple communications channels.

The Media Production Specialist is responsible for editing and finalizing content, including the use and development of voiceover, sound effects, B-roll, closed captioning, static, and motion graphics.

Captures activities of products/subject material for the recording of Corporate Communications purposes.

Provides for the photo media needs of the Corporate Communications Team.

Conducts basic troubleshooting of equipment.

May be required to provide customer service support.

Required SkillsRequired ExperienceBachelor's Degree or higher in related field

Experience creating strong, engaging content through the use of photography and videography.

Experience serving as an in-house photographer or videographer for websites, social media, blogs, etc.

Experienced in video, audio, and multimedia

Proficient in shooting video, sound, lighting, and post-production editing

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a high level of experience in Premiere Pro

U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to pass criminal background check prior to hire

This is a casual-position

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in film/video editing, remote camera installation, maintaining film/video logs, and equipment preferred.

Experience with photo or video software tools preferred

Prior experience supporting COLSA's communications initiatives
