ESTIMATOR

Candidates for this position should be able to demonstrate the following abilities to be considered a suitable applicant:

MUST have previous experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in various sized projects and have a general knowledge of the industry's materials, machines, tools, and equipment.

MUST be able to take jobs from start to finish; responsible for comprehensive take-offs, proposals, submitting quotes, ordering, and working closely with various general contractors, project managers, and superintendents. The job will require communication with our installers and technicians throughout the projects.

Have broad experience in Door Business: Familiar with all aspects of commercial garage doors, docks, and have a working knowledge of all kinds of finish hardware, including their applications.

MUST have general office and phone skills.

MUST be computer savvy and have substantial experience working with PCs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Etc.).

Experience with scheduling is a plus.

Strong knowledge of doors, hardware, and construction materials is a plus.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create estimates for customers and manage job sequences.

Demonstrate strong communication and phone skills.

Demonstrate professional and friendly customer service.

Dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.

Perform general office duties and tasks (including filing, emails/faxes, etc.).

Order and track products and materials arriving at job sites.

Document daily events, logs, and paperwork for each job.

Help promote a safe work area and a focus on safety for employees.

Maintain accurate records and appropriate filing systems.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.
