Mechanical Engineering Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Grand Rapids, MI that is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Project Manager. Please note: project management will be 95% of the assignment.Responsibilities: In this role, the Mechanical Engineering Project Manager will be providing technical direction to and oversight of resident Business Partners and outside contractors ensuring safe work practices are utilized to complete their work Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of facilities equipment and tools required in plants in support of production of high quality parts Interface with regulatory agencies and municipalities Supporting HVAC, chillers, boiler systems, water systems; Supplying electricity, air, any industrial objects from a mechanical standpoint; Work on bringing in contractors to say replace a boiler, etc. Large equipment installations; Fire suppression line breaks, go fix it and shut off and isolate until getting repaired How to work with contractors, make decisions, how to force a contractor into a schedule that the contract has already provided; Come up with a solution when they're behind in workREQUIREMENTS: Degree in Engineering or related field Focused individual with successful track record of delivering projects on time Energetic, process-driven personality with excellent communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Experience managing multiple projects Equipment Installations and Facilities Equipment experience Should understand how to install and remove a boilerKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
