Role Description:This position is for a Senior Cloud Architect and Developer role at Wealth Management Client Technology at client’s New York office. The charter of this team is to develop Cloud Client-facing Websites and applications specializing in Azure Cloud technology. The Senior Cloud Architect is a hands-on role and is responsible for analyzing user specifications and requirements, setting up cloud infrastructure, configuring Cloud components, writing code, coaching and advising the team, testing and debugging applications. The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable and excellent team player. The candidate should be an expert in Public Cloud Azure Platform Architecture principles, Public Cloud application migration on enterprise level, C#, .NET Core, Azure components such as Redis, Database, Security and Authentication, Monitoring, Web Services, AKS, Storage and CDN. The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team along with NY and India team members, across multiple time zones. The candidate will be assigned to more than one role or project at a time. He or she should have at least 10+ years of application development experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management or high traffic Internet facing applications.The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with under supervision. Educational Requirements:Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/Engineering, from a top tier university. Years of Experience:10+ years of experience in Architecture and Application Development discipline. Skills required:The key skills required are:- Ability to interpret business requirements / technical design documents and design / develop appropriate software solutions
- Strong Information Taxonomy/Architecture design skills
- Solid understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development
- Must have a thorough understanding of Public Cloud, web technologies and web architectures
- Professional experience using Azure platform, C#, .NET Core technology.
- Strong knowledge of securing internet based and mobile applications is required.
- Knowledge of internet attack vectors, protection mechanisms, web application vulnerabilities and their solutions is a must.
- Must be able to follow and drive project plans and task schedules.
- Excellent communication skills in English language are essential, both written and oral.
- Prior work on Client facing websites in the banking/brokerage industry a plus
- Experience exposing internet websites on mobile devices, or comprehensive knowledge of mobile application development.
- Working experience with Agile methodologies would be useful
- Experience in web security, authentication and entitlements
