Reimagine Solutions’ Access to Care (ATC) team is looking for an

innovative, high energy, strategic problem solver to play an integral role in

our cross-functional matrixed team as we power Anthem’s future and

significantly improve customer experience in the crucial Access to Care journey.   Our team’s

vision is to Reimagine all aspects of our members’ Access to Care journey

so they receive high quality affordable care at the right time and right place,

and our providers are able to focus on delivering that much needed care. We

will pursue end-to-end opportunities that maximize our members’, providers’ and

associates’ experiences, improve health outcomes and drive medical cost trend

improvement and efficiencies. We will leverage exponential technologies and

effectively assemble digital, data and analytical assets and capabilities in

this endeavor.   As part of this

Reimagine effort, we will:

Create

visibility into the current customer experience in critical moments that matter

in driving access to affordable high quality care

Define the

reimagined future state customer experiences

Drive

cross-functional connectivity in what, why, and how we deliver to our customers

Create

accountability for delivery of people, process, and technology improvements and

subsequent goal realization

Advance key

culture, behaviors and mindset changes to scale customer-centricity across the

enterprise

    

Position

Description  The Portfolio Director will be

responsible for organizing Anthem Reimagine ATC team’s various

work efforts (“pods”) to manage as a single portfolio. This will include reporting that captures

project objectives, costs, timelines, accomplishments, resources, risks and

other critical factor project delivery and budget forecasting on a short,

medium and long-term basis. With the guidance of ATC leadership,

this role will direct program and portfolio

management, planning, performance management, governance and

communication for the ATC team; connecting the dots across work

efforts and pods to optimize results. Primary duties

to include but are not limited to: Program and

Portfolio Management

Organize ATC’s

work efforts into a single portfolio covering a wide range of

cross organizational initiatives from inception to delivery.

Develop an

overall understanding of each initiative in the portfolio in order to

understand the potential customer impact and service requirements generated by

each initiative in the portfolio.

Work with all

levels of leadership and staff to ensure project initiatives are

managed and maintained; develop executive level presentations of the portfolio

and project budget.

Provide quality

assurance ensuring that initiatives are being well managed and adhering to

appropriate standards and good practice.

Planning

Translate the

ATC strategy into executable programs, projects, priorities, timelines, and

roadmap

Facilitate leadership

discussions to manage the processes of reviewing new proposals and

introducing new assets into the portfolio.

Lead strategic

project planning and annual budgeting processes, developing a

budget and operating plan for ATC and its project portfolio

Performance

Management

Design,

implement and maintain business and KPI dashboards that monitor the key metrics

for success and value creation. Present dashboards to key stakeholders and

executives for transparency and validation

Propose

opportunities to improve results based on continuous value monitoring and needs

assessments

Lead strategies

to remove barriers to ensure that portfolio initiatives are delivered on time

and within budget while achieving expected outcomes

Governance and

Communications

Establish and

facilitate governance processes both internal to the team and external

with key business partners, stakeholders and lines of business to ensure rapid

decision-making and solution development

Manage and

deliver executive communications for the ATC tower while adapting the message,

content, and vehicle for different stakeholder groups

Creatively,

clearly, succinctly, and consistently share the ATC story, including

simplifying complex and difficult messages

Qualifications Qualifications Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 10 years of leadership/management experience in a healthcare business; experience in organizing a series of large size projects into a single portfolio; strategic and analytical thinking, including broad based experience to plan and design large complex project portfolios; planning and/or consulting experience; strong leadership skills in matrixed environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.  

Advanced skills in PowerPoint and highly proficient in Excel. 

Master’s degree preferred. 

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing is an asset.

Requires ability to travel 25%.
