Sr. Accountant

DescriptionAccountemps is looking for a Senior Accountant for a long-term temporary opportunity with a growing company in the detail oriented Services industry. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing

Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts

Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Ad-hoc projects as required

Expertise in financial reporting

PeopleSoft experience

General ledger experience preferred

Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Excel

Good understanding of GAAP Accounting

Concur experience

General familiarity with Analyze Revenues

ERP Solutions experience preferred

Practical knowledge of budgeting

Well-founded grasp of Post Journal Entries

Proven knowledge of Financial Statement

Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel

Quality experience with budget forecasting

Reconciliations experience

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

Knowledgeable of ERP systems

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
