Veterinarian’s Afternoon Assistant (Long Beach)
Mississippi, Gulfport / biloxi 00000 Gulfport / biloxi USA

Vacancy expired!

We hire only non-smokers.

The AFTERNOON ASSISTANT’S position starts at 11:40 each morning and ends between 7:15 and 7:30 each evening. Because you will be working in a doctor’s office, where schedules can be unpredictable due to patient illnesses and emergencies, schedule flexibility is required: you won’t always be finished at the same time every day.

Weekend rotation is among our usual three full-time employees. On a weekend you are scheduled for kennel duty you will arrive Saturday morning early enough to feed, water, medicate and exercise all of the boarding animals and be finished by 7:30 AM. At that point you will begin preparations for seeing outpatients from 8 to 12 Noon. You will repeat exercising at Noon after closing and water and medicate boarders as needed. If no emergencies arise you are usually through and ready to leave by 12:30 PM. You will return at approximately 6 PM to feed, water, medicate and exercise again. Sunday you will feed, water, medicate and exercise at 7 AM, Noon and 5 PM.

The following weekend someone else will have kennel duty, so you will arrive at 7:40 Saturday morning to assist in seeing outpatients until Noon. After helping with noon feeding, watering, medicating and exercising and closing procedures you will be finished until Monday.

The following weekend you will be off altogether after you finish your Friday duties, until Monday.

We hire only non-smokers.
