Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions, LLC seeks an individual with a growth mindset to lead a Department of Defense focused program focused on Engineering, Construction, and Quality Assurance services for an existing Navy, Air Force, and Army portfolio of projects. Primary responsibility will include providing delivery excellence to clients from the Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, Department of Interior, Department of Commerce, and others. In this new role, the candidate will be responsible for people management, client delivery, strategy, and growth.

Job Responsibilities

Effectively provide planning and programming of facilities related projects that are in support of Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Military Family Housing (MFH), Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF), Special Interest Programs, Host-tenant, Real Property Maintenance Contract (RPMC), and /or Military Construction (MCP/MILCON) programs.

Develop a long-term plan of facility project execution identifying the year in which they will be required; and acquiring both the authority and resources necessary to meet facility requirements identified by the planning process.

Utilize knowledge of professional engineering to evaluate existing assets and determine the most economical and effective means of satisfying facility need and ensure project requests meet validated requirements; are in compliance with all applicable standards.

Conducts site/facility surveys to gather and assess preliminary information and conducts studies and economic analyses to determine the feasibility of renovation or modification versus new construction.

Creates programming documents such as data forms, funding forms, formal presentation drawings, and other supporting documents to submit requirements and justification to Congress and/or higher headquarters

Continuously tracks, justifies, and adjusts programming to account for unforeseen setbacks; resolves funding and/or scheduling conflicts.

Coordinate projects with other engineers in a variety of disciplines, architects, and planners as well as tenant organization representatives and construction agents such as private contracting companies, Army Corps of Engineers, and the AF Civil Engineer Center.

Ensures federal, state, and local codes concerning health, safety, and the environment are strictly adhered to in the programming, design, and construction of real property facilities.

Required Qualifications

Clearance: SECRET or ability to obtain secret clearance in 90 days

Minimum of 5 years of direct program related experience.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Familiarity with computer software such as Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) programs.

Superstar Qualifications

Routine interaction with senior DoD leadership

OSHA 30 Certified

Prior experience specifically supporting a USAF Civil Engineer Squadron

Professional Registration or pursuing registration
