The Prime Finance group provides liquidity of securities to the global equities group to allow short proprietary trading, hedging for derivative trading and financing for the firm. Securities Lending is the vehicle used to provide this liquidity. The Prime Finance group also provides services to Prime Brokerage clients. This is a global business operating from several countries (including UK, USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, India and Brazil), with a global team of software developers supporting the successful business as it continues to grow and evolve. The Prime Finance Technology Team are looking for Java developers to join a business facing team working on a suite of micro services which provide a wide range of functions for IB Treasury. Are you curious about how things break, so that you can eliminate these failure modes? Are you driven to eliminate toil by designing/adopting better tools and automation techniques? If so, we would love to have you in our IB Treasury Software Engineering team. Working as part of a diverse agile squad you'll develop cloud-native micro-services driven by rich web components to migrate existing experiences to our new cloud platform and to deliver new user experiences on our transformational roadmap. You'll be able to think outside the box and learn new skills in response to rapid changes and business needs. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. - Java 8/11 and Spring
- React.js & Typescript
- MySql/Oracle Database

- Senior Software Engineering background with strong experience in full stack development
- In depth knowledge of Java 8/11
- Experience in front end-technologies and frameworks such as React
- Experience in developing cloud native micro-services in Java
- Experience in using API query languages like GraphQL
- Experience in automated testing frameworks JUnit, Jest etc.to help drive CI/CD best practice
- Experience in source code management using GIT, Bitbucket
- Good level of experience in databases like Oracle/ Amazon Redshift etc.
- Worked in any of the cloud platforms like AWS, Cloud Foundry
- Strong Agile experience using Scrum and JIRA/Confluence
- Experience of Jenkins pipelines
- Experience of human-centered service design techniques and working with a large diverse user community
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Highly motivated, self-learner and a great team player with desire to contribute and build world class products
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years industry experience in using Java tech stack, including but not limited to: Core Java, Spring or Spring Boot, Junit, Mockito, Hibernate, React
- Experience in application architecture and design
- Experience with one or more database technologies, e.g. Oracle
