Job Description: Apex Systems is currently working to fill a GIS Quality Data Lead with CenterPoint Energy! If you're interested in applying for this opportunity, please email the most updated version of your resume to Position: GIS Quality Data LeadLocation: Hybrid - Houston, TXContract Length: 6-8 monthsPay rate max: $30/hr Project Overview: CenterPoint Energy has an in-house database workflow and process management system and are currently looking for a GIS QA/QC Lead to train the team to triage a backlog of records of assets, work orders, and other documentation as needed. The team consist of researcher/editor who would work through those records via a ticketing system, validate what is possible, do additional research on items that need it, as well as edit, categorize an\\d triage the information. The Quality Control Lead will be a point of escalation for the editing team and provide guidance for any more challenging edits. Further, our quality control lead will be assisting Training on with writing policy, process and spec documentation, automation efforts, and receive/provide trainings. Lastly, the quality control lead will be tasked with working through more complex scenarios, or those that require more advanced research or GIS skills. Description:
  • Responsible for performing research and making system updates to improve data quality.
  • Review process control reports to identify trends and/or errors, which could lead to lower data quality standards.
  • Complete root cause analyses and develop responses necessary to address potential errors.
  • Experience in Maximo/SAP; ESRI ArcGIS or AutoCAD; FileNet. Must have Natural Gas or Electric Utility and GIS experience.
