Glenn Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital located in Willows CA, in partnership with our physicians, will consistently strive to provide accessible, high quality care within the local community. Our focus is on improving the health and well-being of all individuals by offering inpatient, outpatient and rural health clinic services to the Glenn County community.POSITION SUMMARY:Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for Coordinating the credentialing and privileging process for medical staff (physicians, podiatrists, dentist, tele-medicine and allied health staff members) including (but not limited to) new appointments, reappointments (all staff every two years) and changes in privileges. This includes: Verifying Competence, medical and/or professional education, residency, internships, fellowships, additional formal training, relevant board certifications, health care affiliations, work history, military experiences, professional references, licensure and certifications, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and privileges the applicant is requesting. Works well with the physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:One to three (1-3) years’ experience in a hospital/health care setting preferred. Medical Staff experience preferred. Knowledge of state regulations for hospital facilities preferred.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates the credentialing process.

Facilitate weekly medical staff committee meetings, committee notification, drafting agendas, taking and drafting meeting minutes. This includes but not limited to: Med Staff, Med Exec, Peer Review, Infection Control Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Tissue and Transfusion, Dietary and Emergency Department Meetings.

Maintains confidential credential files on all members of the medical staff and allied health professionals, including current staff status, current licensure and other certifications, and privileges.

Works with Performance Improvement to provide and interpret relevant data into the reappointment, FPPE and OPPE Process.

Present completed credential files to the Medical Exec/Credential Committee and Board for recommendation of approval of appointments, reappointments, and privileges.

Assures confidentiality of all matters relating to the operation of the Medical Staff Office and the hospital.

Prioritizes daily workload and projects, including but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Revalidate Medicare for facility NPI’s and submit provider revalidations as needed.

Prefill and submit re-credentialing applications for each provider and information as requested by individual payers.

Work with all ED providers at Glenn Medical Center to add their availability to the Google ED Calendar. Work with the ED providers when changes need to be made to set schedules.

Facilitate Governing Board meetings which includes committee notification, drafting agendas, preparing documents and policies approved at all of the committee meetings prior, taking and drafting minutes and any follow up as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fact paced environment. Computer experience with Microsoft Work, Excel, and Outlook and must be able to type 45 wpm. Working Knowledge Medical Terminology, JCAHO, and Title 22 standards for Medical Staff. Must be able to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions:
