Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Program Manager is the lead Office of the Chief Information Office (OCIO) interface to, and directly supports the NGDS Functional Vice Presidents as well as the primary liaison to OCIO Enterprise initiatives. This position will be based out of the Defense Systems Headquarters in McLean, VA but does allow for a full time telecommuting arrangement for the right candidate.This position will report to the Chief of Staff to the CIO and Vice President for Defense Systems Sector.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Program Manager is responsible and accountable for managing all sector-specific recurring and nonrecurring activity that:
- Enable program execution and business capture
- Improve user productivity and experience
- Deliver Value to our Defense Systems business partners
- Manage risk and opportunities for OCIO Capabilities within the assigned portfolio
- Central PMO Project Tracking and Reporting
- Bachelor's degree in a related STEM discipline and 10+ years of progressive professional experience; 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree in a related STEM discipline.
- Prior Program/Project management experience.
- Prior experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT projects.
- 3 or more years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Scrum Master certification (i.e. Scrum Inc, Scrum Alliance, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, etc.)
- US Citizenship is required for this position.
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify issues, solutions, and drive issues rapidly to closure.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and collaborate with executive leadership.
- Previous experience managing budgets and partnering with customers to prioritize support to business priorities and objectives.
