Work Schedule: Typical Schedule is Monday – Friday with occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.

Hiring Range: $19.42 to $21.37 per hour

NATURE OF WORK

The Maintenance Technician (PRC/PW (PRC/PW Hybrid)) will work with a team of other Parks, Recreation & Culture employees eight (8) months out of the year and with a team of Public Works employees four (4) months out of the year. As a member of the Parks, Recreation & Culture Division the Maintenance Technician (PRC/PW Hybrid) position performs semi-skilled and skilled tasks in all phases of parks, open space, trails, and sports field maintenance. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning shelters, restrooms and hardscapes, mowing and hand-picking trash in all areas with focus on highly visible areas like public entrances to parks and facilities, parking lots, landscape areas adjacent to buildings. This position also performs event support services and snow and ice control/removal duties for Town buildings, streets parking lots, trails and parks.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL TRAINING

-Two (2) years of experience as a Parks Maintenance Technician for the Town of Windsor; or

-Three (3) years of previous ground maintenance experience

-Three (3) years of experience driving a truck, tractor or dump truck

-Any equivalent combination of training, experience and education that provides evidence the candidate possesses the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

-Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License that meets the Town of Windsor’s standards, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment

-Must possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Physical Examination card.

-Must possess at least one of the following:

Certified Landscape Technician

Pesticide Applicators License

Certified Playground Safety Inspector (preferred)

-Must possess current CPR, AED and First Aid certificate or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
