Housekeeping Supervisor - Evening Shift (Charlottesville)

The ideal candidate will display a caring and courteous attitude and represent WCBR in a positive manner. Must have the desire to work with a senior adult community and have the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends.

Experience leading, coaching and motivating a team is desired. Must be able to operate various mechanized cleaning equipment and be able to lead by example and demonstrate the desired tasks required for the department. Must be able to supervise a team, create schedules and assist with annual reviews and have the ability to work a flexible evening shift schedule which may include weekends.

Responsibilities

Monitor work of housekeeping staff to ensure timeliness and quality of services.

Ensure that all assigned areas have adequate supplies.

Inspect equipment used by housekeepers to ensure clean condition and request repair if needed

Maintain and update all daily work schedules to include daily inspections.

Perform major floor care, project work, provides clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the residents, guests and associates.

Qualifications

Experience in hospitality, residential, or senior living industry.

Experience in a supervisory role.

Ability to assess and direct a team in housekeeping procedures and chemical use with an understanding of health care environment.

Working knowledge of floor care equipment and products.

Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Requirements

Must have a valid Virginia Driver's license with clean record.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
