In this job, you’ll be responsible for the operation and performance of Construction Maintenance Clerks, Construction Maintenance Accountants, Supervising Construction Maintenance Accountants (SCMA), Technical Specialists, and Analysts. The Supervisor manages the safety, productivity, discipline, performance monitoring and improvement plans, communication of priority changes and special projects in support of company goals and directives from FAO management, Finance and Plant Accounting.

Monitors compliance to FAO core duties of Timekeeping, Material Management E2 Notifications and Capital Related Order Closings.

Provides leadership to bargaining unit employees (who perform activities including material management, work order administration, time and expense, and other miscellaneous accounting and recordkeeping duties).

Ensures the accuracy of financial reporting and maintenance / compliance of all Field Accounting Organization policies /procedures including the Sarbanes-Oxley Controls.

Oversees the appropriate training and development of subordinates, including career development, rewards, discipline and labor relations practices

Supervises and ensures the safety or approximately 5 employees in up to 5 geographic locations.

Works as a team member with others in the organization and representing the Field Accounting Organization on various teams.

Meets established performance measures.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience with adhering to compliance requirements and policies/procedures (FERC, NERC, SOC, EEO, and CPUC) spanning distribution, transmission, and substation organizations.

QualificationsThe essentials

Four or more years of combined experience performing field accounting duties or leading a team.

The preferred

Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements or handling of labor issues.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance, or related discipline.

Experience working and building relationships within the IPSEC (Initiate Plan Schedule Execute and Close) Model.

Relocation may apply to this position.

Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties
