An opportunity to soar is waiting for you with our client located in Pleasanton, CA!We are recruiting for a Quality Control Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity.Some of your tasks will be:
Perform inspection on incoming material, reagents, and instrumentation according to defined procedures.
Must be able to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure the integrity and quality of our products
Must have good observation skills to identify discrepancies and non-conformances
Ability to operate and maintain laboratory to clean room standards required in the production of Life Science products
Enter test results accurately using an ERP system in a timely manner
Complete QC batch records and Receiving Inspection Reports using good documentation practices
Perform calibration and preventive maintenance on some lab equipment
Effectively communicate to area supervisor on any issues and/or complications
Ability to work with scientists and engineers to establish and maintain a solution
Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency
Maintain good observation despite performing repetitive tasks
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following qualitiies:
Strong team player, detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated
Good communication and observation skills
Ability to read and understand SOPs and equipment user manual
Ability to enter data into electronic tracking systems like Excel or Oracle ERP
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load to meet strict deadlines under supervision
Must be flexible as priorities shift with new developments
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization and taking products and processes to the next level
Experience:
1 - 2 years experience in production and quality control of Life Science products, Food Packaging products or related field preferred
Experience using common lab equipment – pH/conductivity meter, caliper, thermometers, etc.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment working with standard production control tools – ERP, LIMS, inventory control, work orders a plus
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
