This individual will manage a small technical support team that provides call center helpdesk support, equipment testing/configuration, field installations, and customer service.This position will architect new networks and maintain the design and integrity of the client's entire IT environment along with coordinating complex projects. The ideal candidate will have solid skills in networking and internet technologies with a general understanding of Microsoft's core products.

Job DetailsDuties:
  • Implement system solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions.
  • Complete system documentation and consulting services, including system reviews and recommendations.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches and hotfixes to address vendor bugs and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor system resource utilization/historical trends and perform capacity planning.
  • Problem-solve and interact with customers on-site, on the phone, or remotely.
  • Ensure efficient issue resolution in minimum time.
  • Multi-task in a rapid-pace environment.
  • Document issues and calls clearly and concisely.
  • Make recommendations in the best interest of the customer and the company.
Requirements:
  • Client-driven. Travel to customer in downtown Chicago is required.
  • Solid communication and documentation skills as well as professional appearance.
  • Proficiency at designing, implementing, and supporting services for Microsoft-related technologies: Server, Office 365, Hyper V, Windows, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
  • Exposure to Active Directory and Cisco CLI.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with various systems/network brands/products/applications: Fortinet, Ubiquity, Aruba, Windows Server, Azure, VMware, Cisco, Microsoft Teams Calling, SharePoint, VoIP, etc.
  • Sometimes work outside normal business hours is required.
  • Staying on top of the current technology trends and issues.
  • Ability to think outside the box when addressing challenges/issues.
