Responsibilities Req ID: 58284 Provide patient care support and assist providers as instructed by the physician, provider or RN Room patients, manage patient flow and obtain adequate patient medical information/data Receive or initiate patient phone calls and follow practice or protocol while gathering pertinent data regarding the reason for call or patient request Actively engage in Team Communication, huddles or other activities Schedule/cancel appointments for existing patients following standard practice Clean, prepare, organize and re-stock exam rooms Perform other duties as assigned Education Graduate of an accredited LPN program and current MN LPN licensure or Applicants with less than 6 months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited medical assisting school with a clinical externship. BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Qualification/Skills Experience Prefer minimum of one year LPN or Medical Assistant experience Prefer experience working with the oncology patient population Prefer experience with difficult lab draws and injections Experience working with electronic medical records program strongly preferred Skills Ability to: Utilize customer service skills in order to positively impact the experience of care for our patients, external customers and internal service partners Establish and maintain effective communication and excellent customer service skills Respond to various patient needs Communicate and work within a team environment effectively Perform vital signs, documentation, infection control, medication administration and emergency procedures (IE: CPR) Maintain good organization, problem solving and judgment Follow all procedures and protocols for assigned work area Standing for long periods of time with somebending, stooping, and stretching Lifting patients to a maximum of 32 lbs. except in an emergency
