TitleProject SpecialistPosition Number33626CompanyWA River Protection SolutionsCity/StateRichland, WALocationPosted08/25/2020Closes09/01/2020Regular/TemporaryRegularFull/Part-TimeFull-TimeJob Responsibilities/DutiesWashington River Protection Solutions is seeking a Project Specialist who will be responsible for planning, expediting, organizing, implementing and performing technical, financial and administrative duties in support of scheduled tasks in order to complete project goals and deliverables.Project Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Act as project leader for multiple design project activities; serving as primary point of contact and liaison for activities within the scope of the project. Contact with internal and external customers and frequent interface with other work groups and departments;

Prior to project implementation, coordinate field walk downs to establish/verify as-is condition; coordinate field walk downs in support of routine housekeeping, facility safety inspections of project installed equipment, and as requested by customers, and as required to successfully complete the project work activities;

Coordinate the development of design project scope including technical requirements, and resources;

Prepare and maintain detailed scope documentation for project work activity modifications;

Maintain a comprehensive awareness of scheduled project work and drives the resources, parts and paperwork necessary to meet task readiness and coordinates/leads the field work through to completion.

Facilitate and coordinate project issues and risks for resolution;

Monitor and expedite engineering document reviews, approvals, and releases;

Contribute to the writing and review of Statement of Works (SOW) and other related items;

Develop and maintain databases used for project tracking purposes;

Monitor budget and funding requirements for different projects and activities;

Monitor project timeline, expenditures and activities;

Prepare design project performance schedules;

Support management and Control Account Manager (CAM) in the development of scope, schedules and baselines;

Establish and maintain accurate and timely flow of information to management and CAM as needed.

Advise management of developments that could impact project scope, cost and schedules;

Comprehend and follow Integrated Environment Safety and Health Management System work steps (Scope, Analyze Hazards, Identify Controls, Perform Work, Feedback); stay current on changing work practices and policies;

Ensure that work performed is being done according to technical work documents, by appropriate personnel assigned to the work, and according to safety standards;

Review documents necessary to expedite work prior to submitting for approval including field implementation packages, new operating procedures and associated training;

Assist in integrating project schedule activities into the facility scheduling programs (i.e. POW, lock-in and long range planning);

Interface with internal personnel and external vendors at all levels;

Maintain positive relationships with the client and other key stakeholders;

Represent the project team in status, integration or other meetings; and

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management or related field; and

Three (3) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, software.

Experience with Sciforma Portfolio Project Management Software

Ability to understand and interpret various electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings and schematics.

Basic understanding of facility processes, systems and equipment.

Knowledgeable of EVMS.

Radiological worker trained.
