We're looking for a strong experienced Manager of Technical Program Management with a proven track record of developing and shipping rich and intuitive consumer-facing products with high quality by leveraging innovative hardware and AI.The person in this role will support other leaders within the group, and will have the opportunity to lead a world class development team which brings together technology from multiple teams to form a product experience that builds a trusted contextual helper in AR and VR. This includes technologies like NLP, Speech, Dialog, Knowledge Graph, Search, Ranking, and other ML and Deep Learning problems.Our team is looking for a Manager for our Technical Program Management team for Product Surface releases. You will be responsible for running a highly successful team and driving excellence across all product surface releases, partnering with internal and external stakeholders across a large number of teams to make this happen. This role requires leadership without authority, the ability and willingness to partner across disciplines to not only support but lead execution, escalation, and mitigation plans that ensure organizational commitments are on track and drive success across partner relationships in the organization. This role requires collaboration with engineering and product management on strategic execution, team goals, with a primary responsibility to deliver on all phases of the development cycle, planning requirements, managing schedules and dependencies, identifying and tracking risks and clear communication to project stakeholders.The ideal candidate is a seasoned TPM and manager that has a strong track record of performance, is energized by having impact, is passionate about user experience, drives data driven decisions, can handle a large volume of complex engagements across a vast array of partners, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will play a pivotal role in delivering new cutting-edge technologies across products, driving communication and accountability upwards to leadership, across partner disciplines and organizations, and down into the teams delivering features into products.Required Skills:

Drive visibility, accountability, and execution across product surface releases for the organization both within your own team and releases driven by product management and engineering

Lead a highly successful team, mentoring and providing opportunities for top performers, identifying growth areas and stretch opportunities for building talent, and providing critical oversight and development for underperformance. You will need to hold a high standard of performance across the team and mentor and grow the team to consistently deliver to those standards

Be a discipline leader, a model for the TPM discipline in terms of establishing and delivering top performance across your team, and develop and demonstrate a model of cross discipline partnership that accelerates performance across the team/organization

Establish expertise in product surface releases, becoming the go-to escalation point for execution, leader for driving visibility across the platform, and orchestrator for managing the integration across partner surfaces. You will have your finger on the pulse of the rhythm of releases across the organization

Ensure delivery of project goals and schedules based on product requirements, technical challenges, and business needs across all partner releases. Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks, cutting through ambiguity and driving clarity

Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment, drive impact through deployment of key initiatives and garnering adoption of those processes

Drive technical excellence within the team, coordinating and contributing to engineering deliverables including architectural diagrams, specifications, launch criteria, and test plans. Demonstrated ability to understand, root cause, and mitigate highly technical issues

Drive excellent and timely project documentation. Documentation should be complete, current and available for staff and leadership review

Engage with partner and cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features

Identify resources needed and work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently

Successfully manage a team of 5-8 TPMs delivering features into product surfaces

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years experience as a program manager working in a cross-functional software development environment having delivered end-to-end customer facing experiences

4+ years experience managing small to medium sized teams, demonstrated experience to manage both over and under performing team members

Understanding of product releases with experience to quickly understand, troubleshoot, and mitigate highly technical issues

Demonstrated experience to lead execution across highly complex products and programs, delivering into pre-released hardware vehicles

Demonstrated partnership skills and second/third party partnership experience

Track record of driving through ambiguity while being dynamic and flexible to customer feedback and changes in priority/direction

Track record of driving execution and delivering products on time into new or novel environments

Software experience in a development and deployment of end to end applications used around the globe across both long term and short term programs

Understanding and experience to deploy/garner adoption of software development processes and best practices

Expert on project and issue tracking, expertise with project and issue tracking systems

Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing and shipping voice enabled applications/speech assisted services
