The position is located in the eDiscovery & Information Governance Team within Facebook’s Legal Department. The Company Information Governance Specialist will work with partners across the company to support information retention and disposition needs, as well as play a key role in developing information governance policies and best practices.The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with information governance experience and a natural communicator who can work closely with teams throughout Facebook to guide and advise on information governance projects. The Company Information Governance Specialist will have the opportunity to work with legal and business partners to develop world-class and cutting-edge solutions to information governance challenges. The candidate should have a great intellectual curiosity and a desire to invest time and energy into learning and growing as a subject matter expert. The candidate should have the ability to work proactively with teams to build consensus across the organization, including legal, privacy, IT, and security. In addition, excellent judgment and comfort operating independently in a fast-paced environment is required.Required Skills:

Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans for the company-wide information governance program

Develop and execute complex, end-to-end project plans with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to create agenda, prioritize and communicate project requirements, track action items and milestones, and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives

Contribute to the design and implementation of information governance documentation, including scalable policies, procedures, best practices, and templates, as well as processes, tools, and workflows to solve complex information governance issues, manage risk, and increase operational value and efficiency

Identify, analyze, and address complicated issues, and distill that complexity into simple and concise communication in cross-functional settings

Work collaboratively with the eDiscovery and Information Governance team, as well as Facebook legal and privacy team members, business partners, outside counsel, and vendors

Apply information governance knowledge, principles, practices, and experience when partnering with in-house and outside counsel on active litigation, regulatory, and investigation matters

Assist with the evaluation and selection of tools used to manage electronic records

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of information governance experience

Experience managing electronic records

Experience with information governance technology and tools

Project management experience with complex data projects

Experience communicating with a variety of audiences, including legal, technical, and privacy teams, and working cross-functionally across a company

Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving experience

Well-developed organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

In-house technology company experience, privacy experience, and experience adapting quickly in diverse, evolving environments

Experience using collaborative tools and records management systems, such as G Suite and O365, and reporting or data visualization tools, such as Tableau
