SENIOR EGGPLANT AUTOMATION TEST ENGINEERUnited StatesNewInformation Technology7 hours agoPost Date20202978Requisition #Apply for JobShare this JobSign Up for Job AlertsCTG is searching for a remoteSenior Eggplant Automation Test Engineerto join our team.Job Summary:As a Senior Eggplant Automation Test Engineer, you will develop and maintain test scripts and tools using Eggplant Automation Test Suite programmatically and ensure high-quality product delivery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality software products and a strong background in test automation. You will define and enhance the test framework in line with Agile environment to make sure the team has the right level of testing.Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop test plan, data, and automation scripts
Translate functional requirements and use cases into clear, concise, detail-oriented test plans/cases
Provides testing input into business decisions
Monitors the effectiveness of the testing function and brings about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the SDLC/STLC
Day-to-day focus is on the resolution of critical issues related to the design of test strategies of various critical projects where expertise is required to interpret against architecture, design, guidelines or processes
Execute tests scripts and review results to ensure the business requirements and goals are met
Review and identify manual test scripts that can be automated to save time and lessen the manual testing effort
Knowledge of and ability to perform in an AGILE environment
Review system and functional requirements and use data in developing automated test scripts
Meet aggressive deadlines and handle complex projects
Able to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
Use automated Quality Assurance systems to facilitate daily activities
Gather business requirements and develop manual test scripts
Can work with interdisciplinary business units
Participate in defect calls and management
May supervise day-to-day work of entry level employees
May need to develop and execute manual testing
Qualification and Skills:
4+ years of solid experience in Eggplant Automation Test Suite is required including Eggplant Performance with JMeter
5+ years of Web, Virtual Machine, Mobile testing and other related technologies
Deep understanding and experience in building test automation framework
Be acquainted with the relevant architecture and moving parts when approaching projects and integrations
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple environments and architectures, diverse technologies and lab environments
Comprehensive experience with the following types of testing: functional, incremental, responsive web design, mobile, automation, security, accessibility, performance, load, and API testing
Experience with SysML Model, Hardware Design Engineering and support perspective is a plus
Prior working experience in Model-based engineering company is a plus
Consider “QA” as a holistic enabling service provider, not a last stop gate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, creative, and proactive
Ability to multi-task
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Preferred qualification:
4+ years of solid experience in Eggplant Automation Test Suite
5+ years of Web, Virtual Machine, Mobile testing and other related technologies
Comprehensive experience in Automation script development, execution, and monitoring
Ability to work closely with agile team, developers, testers, and different business units throughout the SDLC/STLC
Nice to have: SysML Model, Mobile, API and Performance testing, UNIX, SQL, JMeterTo be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, results-driven individual who can create the perfect solution for our clients higher-level needs.
