COMMERCIAL JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER / FRAMER (Bend)

Northwest Framing Systems Inc is looking for skilled carpenters and construction leaders to play a crucial role on our current and upcoming framing projects.

Responsibilities:

- Contributing to a safe work environment for yourself and the entire team.

- Safely and Efficiently running Circular saws, reciprocating saws, chop saws, nail guns, and equipment such as scissor, boom, and forklifts.

-Interpreting blueprints, ASI’s, RFI’s, Etc

-Laying out and building interior and exterior walls

-Laying out and installing floor and roof joists

- Setting trusses

-Sheathing walls and roofs, properly identifying called out shear nailing patterns

-Running Fascia and Soffit

-Proper Hanger and Hardware Identification and Installation

-Ensuring various project facets are Plumb and Level on an Ongoing Basis

-Effective and real time Problem solving

-Taking daily foreman instructions, delegating to apprentices, and producing.

-Quality Control for Apprentices

-Teaching Framing Concepts and Helping Others on Team Learn

-Working as a Team to Produce a Quality Finished Product, To Be Proud Of

Qualifications:

3-5+ years commercial framing experience preferred

2 years framing experience required

Full Time Bags on

Must be able to lift 25lbs - 50 lbs frequently

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs periodically

Valid Drivers License and Reliable transportation

Fall Protection, Aerial Lift, and Forklift Certifications, or

Do so Within 30 days of hire (in house classes available)

Over the course of 27 years our company has evolved from an award winning home builder into a medium size Commercial Framing Company. We work on projects in many different market sectors such as K-12 Education, Higher Education, Health Care, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, Airport/Military, and Retail. We currently employ 45 carpenters with hundreds of years of construction experience between them.
