Driver/Donation Pick-Up (Williston)

Help Habitat for Humanity build house for low-income families without even lifting a hammer! Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for hard working individuals to pickup donations from donors all over Chittenden County using our 20ft box trucks!

This position can be either full time OR part time! Hours are 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday.

Duties:

-Pick up donations using Habitat for Humanity 20ft box trucks

-Adhere to criteria for only accepting donated materials that will be saleable in the ReStore

-Unload trucks into the ReStore at the end of the day

-Follow driving safety standards

-Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean

-Work in ReStore when no pickups are scheduled

-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

-Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record

-Experience driving a box truck

-Ability to lift 50+ lbs., stand, squat, bend, and climb in/out of the truck on a regular basis

-Knowledge of furniture moving techniques

-Dependable, motivated, and good problem-solving skills

-Ability to relate well to a variety of people

-Excellent customer service skills, friendly and outgoing personality

-Interest in working with a fast-paced nonprofit making a difference in our community

Training provided: All volunteers and staff will go through an orientation and learn all necessary policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
