SFCU has grown over 11% in assets the last two years and at $3 billion in size we have an exciting opportunity for a new Sr. Network Engineer to join our team that will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure. This role is responsible for implementation, management, and troubleshooting of enterprise network solutions.

Who YOU are:

BS or equivalent plus 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering support environment

Exceptional experience administering Cisco switches and routers

Exceptional experience administering Arista switches

Expert in Palo Alto Networks firewall policy administration

Architectural experience with WAN/LAN topologies

Experience with administering Aruba, Meraki and Cisco wireless controllers

Familiar with Cisco Secure ACS Administration

In-depth troubleshooting and analysis of Firewall/Network logs and packet captures

Experience setting up hierarchical network device monitoring, data collection, and alerting systems

Experienced in configuring High Availability protocols and Global Server Load Balancing technologies

Familiar with WAN circuits and protocols such as VPLS and MPLS

Experience and expertise in network operations and service optimization in highly available multi-site environment

Network protocols to support Storage SAN and Virtual (VMware) infrastructure

Knowledge of network management, network availability and capacity planning

Robust design and architecture understanding, willingness to ensure we have security in all we do.

Must be creative and have initiative as well as possess exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Strong positive can-do attitude.

Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager (VOIP) is a plus

CCNA/CCNP or equivalent; CCIE is a plus

What you’ll DO:

As a Sr. Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the core network environment providing on-call support on business-critical infrastructure

Manage daily tasks and projects involving configuring, installing and troubleshooting, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VoIP, and wireless devices.

Evaluate and monitor network performance using network management tools and packet analyzers

Regularly coordinate maintenances for upgrading network equipment to the latest firmware releases

Support and maintain the VoIP environment

Recommend solutions to mitigate risks related to network security vulnerabilities

Develop and refine network documentation and procedures, including Visio diagrams

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
