Production Technician

Reports to:

VP of Operations & Production Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

Equipment operators are responsible for the operation, maintenance and upkeep of production equipment and implementation of processing solutions.

The Production Technician job requires you to be comfortable working with machinery subject to high pressure and temperatures, as well as dusty and sticky materials.

Production Technician will be competent at assessing the efficiency of processes and interpreting data collected from such processes.

Production Technician will need to possess a high degree of patience, initiative, positive attitude and will need to be very detail oriented while following directions carefully.

Knowledge of scientific concepts and process related standards is a plus.

This is a physically and mentally demanding job, therefore the Production Technician should be physically fit and capable of repeatedly lifting 50 pounds.

Skills required/desired:

Experience processing botanical and/or food products, particularly oils, using a variety of solvents and technics. Including extractions using CO2, LPG's and alcohols sometimes under high pressure.

Understanding of how to work with gases/liquids under differing pressures and temperatures.

Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.

Strong attention to detail and good penmanship, mathematical skills, and critical thinking.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Experience understanding and working with GMP documentation.

Ability to work in a high paced environment and work well as an integrated team player.

Ability to work on your feet most of the day and lift 50-75 lbs. on a regular basis.

Understand, respect and implement the use of personal protective gear wherever and whenever necessary. This includes Covid-19 related face masks.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Running all production equipment following GMP's.

Understand and be able to use the inventory control system. Properly label, record and handle all raw materials, intermediates and final products.

Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

Monitor quality standards of products and processes.

Record all work data in an accurate and timely fashion.

Understand sampling procedures and take accurate in-line product samples for process and quality control.

Keep the workspace clean, safe and efficient.

Aid in the design, implement and revision of standard operating procedures for production operations.

Help in determining and implementing improvements to the production process.

Must have current OLCC marijuana workers permit.

Benefits:

Starting pay: $14.00-16/hr. depending on experience.

Health benefits after 90-day trial period, including dental and vision. Company covers 75% of cost.

401K option

Possible quarterly bonus.
