DescriptionProminent financial institution located in Santa Maria is seeking a long-term temporary paralegal with banking and finance experience to assist with a large compliance review project.Top applicants will have at least 3+ years' experience working in a financial institution such as a bank or credit union in a substantive legal capacity, high degree of familiarity with the types of documentations at banks, experience with compliance related matters (forbearance, loans, consumer protection, CCPA, SEC, or other), and the ability to work at least 40 hours a week during standard business hours PST.This position is remote to start, but will require time in the office up to 60% of the time. Residents in surrounding cities and counties are welcome to apply. Customer service oriented communication skills
Detailed, accurate, and an ability to handle confidential information
3+ years of relevant experience
Capable of taking ownership of projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing
Excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets highly desired
Federal Banking Regulation experience
Well-founded grasp of Assure Compliance
Proven knowledge of Audit Compliance
Experience with personal banking
General familiarity with compliance
Practical knowledge of Contract Compliance
Mortgage Banking experience preferred
Deep understanding of Mobile Banking
Comprehensive knowledge of banking and finance law
