The foundation for this is built on a clear understanding of your role as described in this job overview.JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Warehouse and Distribution Center job family manages the storage, transport and distribution of equipment, materials andproducts sold and produced by the organization. General areas of responsibility include receiving supplier shipments; pickingcustomer orders; shipping, transportation and delivery of materials and customer orders; and inventory organization, management and control.AREAS OF IMPACT:Sets day-to-day objectives and deliver job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices. Work independently and may be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures.PROBLEM SOLVING:Problems and issues faced often need analysis to understand. Checks and make minor adjustments to work methods to solveproblems that may not be immediately evident in existing work processes and systems. However, may have references or help from norms and/or standard procedures to solve these problems (e.g. operating manuals, ability to discuss in teams, or escalate issues to manager).JOB DUTIES:

Plan and attend to space and storage needs, evaluates the efficiency of means of transportation and proposes improvements in order to optimize the distribution process.

Monitor warehouse activities to ensure that goods are stored correctly and safely and warehouse space is used efficiently.

Accurately arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.

Monitor the effectiveness of handling procedures and space utilization and make recommendations for improvement.

Effectively plan, direct, and monitor all materials planning, inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving activities so that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for its current and future operations.

Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures.

Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSPRIOR EXPERIENCE:Two (2) years of experience is preferred to perform at expectation.Applies broad job knowledge of own job area or basic job knowledge across multiple job areas. IITECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:Associate is expected to operate at the proficient level across the following areas of technical knowledge and skill:

Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Ability to effectively communicate in writing.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally.

Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, PowerBI etc.).

Ability to effectively utilize FEI's inventory (HIGHJUMP) and logistics system (Trilogie).

Certified forklift operator.

Knowledge of products and client business.

Knowledge of TOAD data management software and/or SQL.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.

Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.

Requires giving and/or receiving verbal communication.

Requires giving and/or receiving written communication.

Requires using a computer keyboard and mouse to create letters, memoranda and reports.

Requires sitting for extended periods.

Requires standing for extended periods.

Constantly requires carrying objects that are up to 50 lbs by hand.

Constantly requires carrying objects that are 50 lbs or more using equipment.
