The Enterprise Risk manager designs and oversees the Firms Risk Framework that minimizes risks within the organization by developing and implementing global risk management reports, systems and processes. This job owns short to mid-term (1-3 years) enterprise risk strategy execution to monitor and attempt to combat risk across the enterprise.The objective of the role is to design/enhance frameworks and policies, including linkages to other strategic frameworks.Â The ideal candidate will advance the Risk Management Framework by focusing on the linkages between the Risk framework, risk appetite, limit setting, strategic planning, capital planning, and business planning.The Enterprise Risk manager oversees several key risk management programs, including: Enterprise Risk Appetite Framework Holistic Issue Management Framework Scenario Analysis Program Enterprise Risk Management PolicyKey Responsibilities and DutiesDirects the enforcement of the risk management framework and ensures its application across the organization.
Manage the ERM Policy and Enterprise Risk Appetite Statement.
Ensure the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) is a) accurate; b) reflective of material risks across the business; and c) appropriate governance processes are implemented and managed to ensure the RAS remains up to date and addresses risks as they emerge.
Develop deep understanding of TIAAs Holistic Issue Management framework and governance processes, and design solutions to support these processes and enhance automated controls.
Lead the Holistic Issue Management program and oversee the day-to-day decision making and execution. Lead the Center of Excellence and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Lead the non-financial risk Scenario Analysis program.
Lead the Prudential Risk Working Group which provides insights on the firms Top Risks and industry trends to senior management. Maintain the inventory quarterly and provide to committees.
Manage the Key Metrics Inventory to ensure it is reflective of material risks across the business and accurately maintained.Â Drive continuous improvement in reporting and access.
Manage projects through implementation, engaging users, technology and management consistently.
Ensures the adoption of organization-wide risk management program by integrating considerations or risk into strategic decision-making.
Manages enterprise risk areas for the organization and identifies, evaluates, and quantifies risks for their potential impact.
Interacts with executive leadership about risk management policies and procedures, limits and guidelines.
Provides strategic direction of on-going model validation processes and risk management framework revisions to ensure maximum protection against global risk exposures.
Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation and development of team.
