job summary:Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for qualified Materials and Process Engineers to join our team to review program requirements and determine the controls need to bring space shuttle designed hardware into program compliance.Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for qualified Materials and Process Engineers to join our team to review program requirements and determine the controls need to bring space shuttle designed hardware into program compliance. location: Remote, Remotejob type: Contractsalary: $45 - 50 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: No Degree Required responsibilities:We are seeking Materials and Process engineers with experience in materials and process (M&P) requirements decomposition to support the design team in reviewing material and process specifications to verify and document the required materials and processes.You will be expected to support the following:- Assist in M&P requirement decomposition and internal plan development- Generate shop floor and vendor controls based on these plans- Support design engineering with part design and drawing controls that are compliant with these plans/requirements- Review previous material and process specifications from legacy parts, verify there are no special processes integral to the part performance that need to be captured- When a special process is identified, assist in locating or creating a replacement- Assist in the review of vendor process information to verify the process will result in a compliant part- Assist in report generation to meet program deliverables (Material Usage Agreements, Material Identification, Usage List, etc.)
Industry: AvionicsCommunication Skills:Excellent interpersonal, and oral/written communication skillsstrong technical writing skillsLeadership Skills:strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in completing tasksRequired Skills:Experience with M&P decomposition of the requirementsMaterial requirements experience including but not limited to materials such as: steel, nickel, and aluminumUnderstanding of manufacturing processes including but not limited to: castings, forgings, and heat treatments for aging and strengthExperience reviewing and developing materials and process specificationsExperience generating shop floor and vendor controlsThese would be a plus:Experience with lubrication system designExperience with part design and drawing controls qualifications:- Experience level: Experienced
