Scientist immunoassay development (San Francisco)

Multerra Bio, Inc., a privately funded company located in San Francisco, is seeking a candidate to contribute substantially to the development of our novel multiplex protein detection platform which is founded on chip Biosensor technology. A successful applicant will be experienced in multiplex immunoassay research and development with excellent hands on knowledge of methods currently employed in the field. Experience with ELISA, multiplex Luminex platform protein detection and protein quantitation is required.

Responsibilities

Lead experiment design and data analysis to support the company goal for developing a multiplex protein detection assay on a CMOS sensor chip

Develop, optimize and validate ELISA assays

Determine assay sensitivity and cross-reactivity in buffer and biological matrices

Develop clear protocols and maintain good records

Design experiments aimed at porting the ELISA results to the CMOS sensor chip

Interface with engineering and fluidics personnel to optimize workflow and assay performance

Qualifications

MS in Immunology, Biochemistry or related field with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience

Extensive experience developing and validating ELISA assay

Hands on experience with multiplex protein detection assays on a Luminex platform

Familiarity with other multiplex protein detection technologies

Strong work ethic and self-motivation and the ability to function in a small, diverse team

Ability to learn from and execute existing SOPs

Excellent communication skills

Startup experience would be a plus
