We expect you to bring significant experience acquired from a similar role in a former job. Not only will you lead projects in complete autonomy, but you will also be accountable for planning ahead, and thinking in terms of what's best globally for the company rather than locally for your projects. This also means you are expected to ramp up on multiple projects and orchestrate changes across projects and teams whenever necessary. As a Digital Solutions Engineering Manager, you are also expected to be a technical leader, sharing your knowledge, helping engineers grow.Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead the enterprise-wide digital engineering teams in support of digital applications and APIs.
  • Act as a change agent and develop a digital culture and mindset for how we approach work
  • Lead the support of sustaining of our core products through design improvements, functionality enhancements, obsolescence management, and coordination of issue discovery and root cause analysis
  • In working with Project Management and Business Analysts and Product teams, manage scoping, sizing, planning, development, implementation, and support for projects within the Digital portfolio (both local and global projects).
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product/Business Owners, Operations and Testing groups in testing Digital applications to business defined quality metrics, and functional and non-functional KPIs.
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting digital applications and platforms in line with SLAs within production and non-production environments.
  • Specific engineering responsibilities to include:
  • Design, develop and integrate RESTful API services / microservices
  • Manage, maintain and govern engineering standards around security, secure-coding, logging, alerting, build, deployment, integration, containerization and orchestrations.
  • Manage and maintain the technical / solution documentation including architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, deployment diagrams and production runbooks.
  • Manage production applications to KPIs and troubleshoot any availability and performance issues at multiple layers of deployment, from hardware, operating environment, network, and application.
  • In collaboration with Product Development/Business Owners and Design teams, responsible for helping define UX journeys, personas and widgets / utilities supporting the engineering frameworks.
  • Analyze customer insights, data, and competitive analyses to identify problems and opportunities
  • This is a hybrid role.
Qualifications we are looking for:
  • 10+ years in an Engineering leadership role managing and scaling engineering teams in building highly transactional web, API and customer facing applications and platforms
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles with at least 3 years of data related leadership within a complex global business environment
  • 7+ years of hands-on software development experience including 5+ years of leading product engineering teams
  • 5+ years of experience with Microservices and Restful API development
  • 3+ years of experience cloud native development with .Net Core (Azure App Service, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, API Gateway, Microsoft Power Platform).
  • Experience with Identity Providers and security implementations required (Okta, AD, SSO, SAML, OAuth, JWT experience required).
  • Experience managing work within a DevOps environment, including Builds, CI/CD Pipelines, Version Control, etc. (MS stack is preferred - Visual Studio, TFS/DevOps)
  • Proven experience defining product and technology roadmaps and establishing an execution plan for digital products and platforms.
  • Has the ability to work with business partners and articulate technical trends/concepts and design/implementation considerations.
  • Strong skills in problem solving, resource and portfolio planning and budgeting
  • Solid financial acumen, able to construct sound business plans and effectively execute against them within planned budget and established timelines with high quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Prior technical leadership experience in B2B is preferred
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office (or equivalent digital project management tools)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016, 2017, or 2019) and no-SQL databases / caches (Cosmos DB, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Memcached).
  • Experience developing digital products from ideation to delivery with significant end-to-end IoT engineering development experience
  • Experiencing building an Industrial IoT platform and cybersecurity
  • Experience with identifying areas of potential intellectual property ownership as it relates to technology

  • Positively influences others and collaborates in ways that inspire them to act and/or change their perspective
  • Lead, mentor, advise, and grow your team to ensure the deployment and sustainment of robust products that meet customer expectations
  • Build strong relationships and collaboration between teams within US Digital Solutions and Technology, Global Technology, Marketing, and other business teams
  • Demonstrating a 'customer centric' mindset by ensuring stakeholders' questions are answered in a timely manner (internally and externally).
  • Strengthen the relationship between digital product/business owners, deployment, and support teams to ensure a single clear goal amongst teams, allowing for better technology and customer experience
  • Effectively manage communications with stakeholders
