job summary:The Records Retrieval Agent represents clientele in requesting and obtaining medical records from healthcare providers.Contact healthcare provider offices on a regular basis to request copies of medical records Identify and coordinate the method for record retrieval with provider officesUses provided computer equipment to update facility information and maintaining status for the record retrieval with provider offices, sometimes having to switch between multiple systems in the course of the day to update and retrieve information.Provide accurate and timely updates on the record retrieval status to clientsComplete all responsibilities as outlined on the annual Performance Plan.Completes projects and other duties as assigned using Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. location: Houston, Texasjob type: Contractsalary: $14 - 16 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: High School responsibilities:

Required Skills:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Must have previous call center or customer service experience.
  • We will provide training. Training is 4 weeks for which 100% attendance is required
  • Ability to communicate clearly through verbal and written communication, using proper spelling and grammar, and using applications such as Teams, Gmail, Outlook, and Zoom.
  • Demonstrates the ability to give attention to details, including planning, executing, and follow up procedures
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations preferred
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute (wpm) with 90% accuracy
  • Computer navigation skills
  • Basic technical skills (Able to clear cache and cookies)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Internet upload speed of 25 mpbs and download speed of 5 mpbs

Desired skills, responsibilities, experience needed
  • Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations preferred
  • Previous call center sales or collections experience preferred, not required.
