IT Systems Engineer

job summary:Randstad is working with a bank to help find a permanent IT Systems Engineer. This role has a hybrid work schedule with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. The position is responsible for technical engineering, implementation and support of technologies deployed at the bank. Additionally, it will assist with capacity planning, disaster recovery, datacenter management, backups, documentation, server based application support, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience developing and managing key infrastructure, experience with VMware, Linux server, and Microsoft O365. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package. location: NEEDHAM, Massachusettsjob type: Permanentsalary: $110,000 - 115,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:-Ensure that enterprise computing resources are available to the end users at all times -Maintain and manage existing server, network, and application environments. -Provide recommendation for system architecture upgrades, migrations, and new deployment. -Interact with all system vendors to resolve problems quickly and accurately -Develop documentation of critical system infrastructure within the operating environment -Update key systems as needed to ensure regulatory compliance. Systems such as (but not limited to) VMware, Microsoft, Storage Area Networks, VMware View, Unidesk -Implement new equipment -Plan and expand the enterprise systems infrastructure -Responsible for reviewing security architecture -Assist in delivering successful change management and maintenance scheduling -Assist with the remediation of system vulnerabilities, and escalation of unpatched issues -Architect and troubleshoot network segments, including VLANS -Serve as point of escalation for installation, sustainment, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware, peripherals, software applications, and third party Technology Service Providers qualifications:
