The Greater Manchester Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for a part-time donations pickup driver and store associate.

WORK DAYS: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 8:00-4:00; Friday 10-6:00; Tuesday hours may also be available depending on need. Most of our donation pickups are done Wednesday and Thursday, and the pickup crew helps in the store Friday and Saturday when we are open to the public.

DUTIES:

Pick up donations in a timely and efficient manner in the Greater Manchester area from both business and residential donors. Items include appliances, furniture and building materials.

Along with the lead driver, visually inspect donations to ensure they meet our donation criteria, and respectfully decline when they do not.

Unload donations, with the assistance of other staff or volunteers; help with placement in store and prepping for sale.

Provide in-store support to the ReStore staff and volunteers, including assisting customers with drop-off donations; assisting customers with purchases.

Help maintain organization and cleanliness in and outside the ReStore.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Flexible schedule

High School Diploma

Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; no DUI/DWI offenses

Must pass criminal background check

Reliable transportation

Ability to follow directions

Ability to safely drive a 16-foot box truck

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs on a regular and frequent basis; heavier loads with assistance. PLEASE NOTE that this job can be physically demanding and consists of moving heavy furniture, appliances and building materials, including large doors and windows.

Work may require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions.

Knowledge of surrounding communities

Knowledge of building materials desired, but not necessary

Strong customer service skills is essential!

Experience in moving or delivery/pickup is desired

Project a courteous, respectful, and professional attitude

Enjoy working with the public

Effectively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds

Work equally well in a team environment or independently

We are looking for candidates with good references and a stable work history who can demonstrate reliability and the potential for growth and responsibility.

Starting Hourly Rate: $15.00
