Internal Title: Configuration Eng Sr Advisor Location: Remote, but located near DMV area, Beltone, TX, or Lafayette, LA with occasional travel to the local officeSeeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with proven leadership and communication skills with relevant technical experience. The candidate should demonstrate expertise and experience with implementing the DevOps/DevSecOps platform, processes, and tools supporting Agile application development teams that lead to continuous integration, test, and deployment methods. Must have hands-on experience with setup, configuration, operationalization, maintenance, and enhancement of DevOps platforms and Cloud offerings (open source offerings as well as AWS experience are preferred).Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Assigns and handles customer service requests for all internal workgroups, manages and monitor environment processes for those workgroups.

Coordinates the upgrade of environments for large scale efforts and serves as group contact for major projects and initiatives.

Takes ownership of customer issues affecting EMS workgroup processes and manages and enforces processes to support ongoing process improvement.

Leads environmental build efforts for large-scale Enterprise project/release efforts.

May perform code migrations and prepare, merge, and version code for production builds.

Works with appropriate workgroup to develop SLA's and OLA's based on work assignments and monitors SLA's and OLA's to ensure customer satisfaction.

Leads team meeting (in absence of manager).

Participates on ad-hoc committees to support Enterprise efforts.

Introduces other area to EMS services and rolls-out EMS process/procedure changes to the Enterprise as needed.

Analyzes scope of work requests, develops work plans, leads ad-hoc assignments and internal initiatives and provides leadership and mentoring to all team members.

Qualifications

Requires BA/BS; 8+ years of IT experience, including application development experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Multiple trade certifications and multi-platform experience is preferred.

Rational Unified Process and Rational Tool Suite experience preferred.

Prefer to possess AWS DevOps or Solution Architect (Associate or Pro) certification.

Experience with open technologies like Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, DevSecOps and related Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, JIRA, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, GitHub, Puppet, Git and others preferred

Experience working with XML, JSON and YAML for configuration preferred

6+ years of experience on setting up Jenkins based CI/CD Pipelines with integration with open source plugins preferred

6+ years of experience in DevOps/Agile/Scrum environments and development preferred

Strong hands-on experience with configuration management, cloud orchestration and automation tools preferred

Solid understanding of and experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure as well as applications in cloud environments, preferably in AWS.

Experience with identifying and implementing automation for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment/Automated Testing preferred

In-depth understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC); experience successfully deploying reliable data systems and data quality management system preferred.

Experience with Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices in micro-service environments preferred
