Accounts Payable Clerk

This Accounting Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of accounting team. Located in Pasadena, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary to hire opening. Career growth and quick advancement is available in this progressive department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Responsibilities

Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Assist with internal and external audits as needed

Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

Complete full-cycle A/P

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

Requirements

Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
