From personalized service to professional education programs and marketing support, Ormco is committed to helping orthodontists achieve their clinical and practice management objectives.Operating Company:SparkJob Description:The Process technician works directly with production multiple departs representing the manufacturing team, collaborating with Quality Assurance, R&D, Procurement, and Regulatory Affairs. Works to improving existing and develops new product designs and processes to enhance the customer experience, decrease operational costs, or improve quality. Leads manufacturing engineering projects, develops capital equipment purchase justifications. Works collaboratively with the engineering manager mentoring the development of junior engineers. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, and improve sustainability and quality of product. Work continuously with the manufacturing production team to improve machine output, equipment effectiveness, and quality through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Assists Production team members in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Perform repair and maintaining electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of machinery and equipment. Work/responsibilities regularly span multiple job families within this job group. Maintains and works in a safe, reliable, cost effective manufacturing operation to produce the required product volumes, with full regard for health, safety and stakeholder concerns. Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all mechanical, hydraulic, electric equipment and instrumentation. Oversees the design, development and maintenance of operations information systems to monitor manufacturing efficiency. Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers.Job Requirements:Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; or four to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Able to read, interpret Blueprints and Schematics drawings. Experience in general shop floor practices, 5S, tidiness and cleanliness. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. Participate in Continuous Improvement projects or Kaizen events. Strong communication in English (Reading, writing, and verbal). Proficient knowledge of measurements and basic mathematical skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment. Ability to follow instructions and guidelines set forth by the area Lead or Supervisor. Ability to work under moderate supervision. Ability to meet daily production goals in regard to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.Physical Demands/Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
