OverviewQuantiTech is currently seeking a High Temperature Lab Test Engineer to support our customer in Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. ResponsibilitiesDuties will include, but are not limited to:

Provide technical support to the Space & Missiles Combined Test Force (CTF) High Temperature Laboratory (HTL, aka Arcs) in developmental test and evaluation (T&E) activities for DoD weapon systems.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report ground test results supporting systems under development or in deployment.

Serve as a test engineer in performing and/or coordinating technical test execution, working with team test managers, test analysts, test operations engineers, and affiliated team members.

Maintain cognizance of all assigned engineering activities.

Support and/or lead periodic reviews for test planning and execution including test planning working groups, technical review boards and test readiness reviews.

Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at required level

Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering from an accredited school.

Education and/or experience in aerothermal test environments is highly desired.

Advanced degree or additional graduate-level coursework in science or engineering is a plus.

Proficiency with Matlab and/or Python is desired.

Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.

Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers, senior staff, and peers.

Communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.

Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission.

Focused adherence to safety and security requirements in an office- and industrial facility-based environment.

Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.

Intermittent travel is anticipated to support and participate in briefings and reviews, and to collaborate with team members at other DoD installations or contractor facilities.

There is high projected workload through the next decade in Arcs. The government is evaluating a two-shift operation model for test engineers.

This position might require extended duty on a night shift.
