Lead Porter

Responsible for supervising six porters including training, quality control, and developing their roles. Assisting guests with small courtesies, deliveries, luggage assistance as requested. Keep common lobby areas, carpets, flooring, and hallways clean and neat.Palm Springs Tennis Club prides itself in the level of personalized service we provide. We expect our porters to maintain a high level of integrity and service and to always attend to our guests’ needs in a professional manner.Essential Duties & Basic Responsibilities:

Oversees a team of six porters and provides training and quality control inspections

Perform all duties and adhere to all regulations stated on the Porter’s Procedures Checklist.

Works weekends and holidays Report to work according to schedule and be ready to work.

Must be in uniform.

Shampoo carpets and inspects the quality of carpet cleaning done by other porters.

Assist guests in taking their luggage to their rooms.

Answer guests’ questions as needed.

Must speak English and Spanish

Supply guests with hotel amenities or small errands (with permission from Management).

Assists with all employee shift changes and vacation requests

Organizes and directs porters during all resort renovation projects

Apprise General Manager and Housekeeping Manager of any out-of-the-ordinary occurrences that happen in the course of business.

Participate in all required health and safety meetings/classes.

Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Follow all rules and regulations set forth in the latest Employee Handbook.

Perform any other various duties that are assigned by the General Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Supervisor, or Front Desk Clerk.
