We are looking for a Lift Technician with Central Transportation at St. Jude Medical Center.Location: Fullerton, CaliforniaWork Schedule: Full Time - 80 Biweekly HoursShift: 8 Hour EveningsJob Summary:Transports patients, equipment and products throughout the medical center in a safe and efficient manner. Safely performs complex patient lifts/transfers, including competent handling of multiple lines, ventilators, traction devices etc. in coordination with patient care team. Acts as first responder/assistant/runner for code situations; including code triage internal and external.Skills:

Ability to read, write and understand English.

Ability to accept responsibility and follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to work within a team; demonstrate good interpersonal communication, negotiation and facilitation skills and to obtain necessary information from appropriate resources.

Ability to maintain all aspects of patient, staff, visitor and hospital confidentiality.

Must have the ability to relate to patients, visitors and hospital staff in a positive manner.

Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in job description.

Willingness to learn new skills and utilized them appropriately.

Ability to organize effectively and set priorities.

Knowledge of medical terminology as appropriate to the responsibilities of the job.

Position Requirements:Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Customer service experience, preferably in a health care setting

Training:

Successful completion of Transportation Orderly Training

Successful completion of Slip Mat Training

Successful completion of Customer Service Orientation

License / Certification:

Basic life support for the health care provider through the American Heart Association

Previous work related experience as a Transportation Orderly
