What will you be doing 1. Support computer operations; analyze computer problems; provide support and solutions for operational problems.2. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.3. Perform tests on data equipment where error conditions occur to determine the sources of malfunctions.4. Act as system administrator for the LAN, internet, PC systems and desktop computers to include hard disk backup, file restoration, security administration, performance monitoring, and problem resolution.5. Perform cost/benefit analysis, evaluate and recommend software and peripheral hardware for user applications with corporate and data center approval; maintain hardware inventory.6. Perform hardware and software upgrades when appropriate on various systems; desktop computers; PC systems and the local area networks.7. Maintain and utilize skills in using purchased PC products such as spreadsheet, word processing software and PC diagnostic tools, in order to answer typical user questions independently.8. Research software problems; document solutions for submission to management; maintain service request system.9. Coordinate technical questions and solutions to problems with corporate IS; direct complex problems to data center or corporate IS staff.10. Notify the corporate office and data center of planned office moves or other connectivity changes.11. Maintain, administer, and support all center networks, including installation of PCs and servers.12. Install and maintain fiber connections to switches.13. Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers.14. Participate in student employability programs and activities.15. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.16. Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.17. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree and two years related experience. Directly related technical experience in systems analysis may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Capable of using software applications, such as MS Office. Experience working with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
