Job Description

As the Associate School Manager, you will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and management of the school site operations in various areas as assigned. Areas of responsibility include management of training functions atthe school while providing assistance and input to the admissions, administration, student finance, and placement functions ofthe school. You will be responsible to adhere to operational directives and assist in meeting projections and performance goals. You will work closely with corporate senior management to achieve objectives and grow the location based on network needs.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with senior managementto maximize school efficiency through adhering to policy and procedures in order to producewell-managed training operation

  • Direct management of CDL Instructors and Training Supervisors on a daily basis

  • Working closely with the admissions departmentto maximize student enrollments and enroll qualified students for training

  • Working closely with the placementdepartmentto ensurequalified students achieve the best possible employment opportunities

  • Assisting in preparationfor school inspections by local, state and Federal agencies under the direction ofthe corporate compliance department

  • Conducting weekly student orientations and monitoring and managing student progress, student attendance, and student retention

  • Responsiblefor ensuring associates adhere to applicable policies and procedures

  • Assistance and involvementin the hiring, coaching and counselingof school personnel as applicable

  • Responsible for complete, correct and timely submission of all evaluations, forms and required reports associated with school operations and additional reporting as requested

  • Must be able to travel as needed for initial and continuing training purposes and support of other school locations as needed


  • 3-4years of managerial and supervisory experience, preferably in the private school industry or transportation industry

    a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and minimum 1-2years of management experience

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of management with a focus on excellent customer service through leadership

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Able to travel for initial and subsequent training andto providesupport for locations as needed

  • Possess strongleadership ability to perform the duties of managing, coordinating and directing school operations with a particular focus ontraining and administration, with daily support to other functional areas of school operations

  • Ability to assist with the implementation and enforcement of established policies and procedures, and compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations
