Job Description

Role: Mid-Level Project Manager (Cyber Security)

Duration:

12 - 24 months CTH/Full Time

Location:

Colorado Springs, CO

Remote, likely until January 2021. Eventually will be on-site in Colorado Springs, CO

Skills:

Looking for MId-level PM Looking for 3-4 years of experience as a Project Manager MUST have Cyber Security Experience The team works in a Waterfall/Agile Hybrid environment Will be responsible for multiple projects (some projects in-flight, some will be from scratch) Although there is a PMO, this group functions outside the PMO (this PM will be 1 of 2 project managers) Use Jira for Project Planning Will need to have strong communication (talking to multiple teams including applications and infrastructure teams)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience implementing cross-organization IT solutions, a proactive problem solver with a strong technical background, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and very strong organizational skills. This person will need effective leadership skills and the ability to manage in a highly matrixed organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Will give the PM autonomy to choose the best method based on the project.
  • Utilizing JIRA to organize backlogs and projects
  • Manage and complete IT projects related to reducing cybersecurity risks
  • Identify and document business cases, requirements, and scope, then manage the entire solution planning cycle.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and document project requirements.
  • Manage business and conflicting priorities with the ability to maintain stakeholder commitments.
  • Monitor progress throughout the project management process and work with Program Managers to deliver against plans and targets.
  • Ensure pro-active, clear communications, and coordination across the business and technical teams.
  • Escalate and resolve risks and misalignment.
  • Provide strong Project Management support using Project Management Methodology, processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience managing large complex projects in enterprise environments including 3+ years of security project management
  • Minimum of 6 years Project Management experience required.
  • Experience managing complex, global projects and / or Infrastructure projects.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity technologies and processes (e.g., DLP, IPS/IDS, SIEM, Vulnerability Management) and enterprise compliance and controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.
  • PMP and ITIL certifications and Agile delivery a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
