We are looking for a Finished Goods Sales Representative to join our dedicated team at our headquarters in Winchester, VA. This is a critical role that will be working collaboratively with the sales peer group and the operating divisions, ensuring that the robust sales plan(s) developed and implemented for the company consistently generate the highest revenue’s possible.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

College degree or experience in an agricultural, life sciences or related field

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

Ability to work without direct supervision. Self-starter with excellent work habits.

Possess strength in detail, superior organization, and follow-up skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with other colleagues and partners.

Strong critical thinking skills and problem resolution.

Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement and pragmatic thinking.

Works well in team environment.

Essential Functions:

Sales price and volume optimization for Valley Proteins finished products

Continuously cultivate and improve relationships within assigned customer base (external & internal)

Sales owner for assigned Customers, Product(s) and Plant(s)

Use internal resources and operational support to help accelerate company growth and provability of assigned accounts by developing customer acquisitions and leading them through execution.

Act as the customer’s main point of contact and coordinate resources to increase the customer experience

Assists in resolving issues related to on-time delivery of finished goods orders.

Monitor inventory, update and move finished goods orders between divisions as necessary.

Assists in resolving customer quality and service complaint by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations.

Research and resolve payment issues with assigned customer base.

Keep abreast of products, technical services, market conditions, strategies and industry trends.

Actively participate and develop relationships with assigned territory industry support groups.

Perform other duties as assigned.
