Island Crest Builders is seeking a Bookkeeper/Construction Administrator to join our team in the Seattle/Mercer Island area. ICB builds and remodels homes and multi-unit residences throughout the greater Seattle area. Our primary office is located on Mercer Island.
This position handles the fundamental aspects of ICB’s financial record keeping and is responsible for supporting the company principles in the organization and coordination of all ICB projects including organizing and coordinating an effective and efficient office environment.
A successful applicant will be reliable, self-motivated, and organized. Excellent time management and attention to detail are key as we are a small team looking for someone to effectively organize and coordinate ICB administrative duties and bookkeeping. Your role is to support the owner and Project Managers, take on primary bookkeeping duties for the company and maintain a pleasant work environment while ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Enter/pay invoices, administer payroll, AP/AR reports, job costing reports, onboard employees & subcontractors, upkeep files, pay vendors & subcontractors, bank reconciliations, etc.
Project support for owner and PM
Organize and manage office needs and environment
Assist with the preparation of bid packages
Lien waivers, updating certificates of insurance for projects
Other projects as assigned
2 years of experience working within the construction industry
Advanced aptitude using QuickBooks
Comfortable with Basecamp & Excel
Ability to process and manage payroll, accounts payable & accounts receivable
Experience as construction/office assistant
Familiarity with general accounting practices and change orders
Exceptional customer service
Ability to follow through and complete tasks in a timely manner
Onsite & from home – schedule to be determined
Occasionally required to visit active and potential jobsites
