Assistant Project Manager/Estimator

Blue Star Welding is a structural steel fabrication shop who is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to our team.

We are looking for an assistant project manager who thrives off of fast paced settings and constant interaction among clients and co-workers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Scoping out and providing job cost takeoffs for new bids

Drafting material submittals for approval

Keeping track of project costs and time during the project and after completion

Keeping up to date with the scope of work per project

Monitors quality issues

Assists with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules

Coordinates with the GC and vendors as necessary

Completes all other duties as assigned or requested

Required Experience:

This is an entry level position: Experience is preferred, however, not necessary for the right person

Ability to multi-task

Problem solver and takes ownership of solutions

Detailed oriented and organized

Ability to learn quickly

Willing to learn new software, if applicable.

Effective communication skills-within the organization, GC's, and suppliers
