Maintenance & Handyman WANTED (All Areas)

Looking for:

COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND HANDYMAN

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Support with other cleaning duties as and when required.

Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets,

walls and building exteriors

Make apartment units ready for new move‐ins and check any repairs needed upon move out

Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain and clean

Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance

To assist with minor plumbing including unblocking sinks and drains etc.

To deal with minor repairs where necessary

To deal with minor electrical repairs, carpentry and painting

Responsible for the maintenance of all electrical equipment on site.

Regularly check external areas for any potential danger to people on site.

Schedule and complete preventative maintenance

Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping (bush cutting)

Job Requirements

Handyman must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors,

contractors and fellow employees. Maintenance must have the necessary tools to effectively

complete tasks outlined above. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Must be willing to travel to other properties if and when necessary.

Physical Effort

At any time, the Handyman will be expected to undertake bending, lifting and stretching in the course of their duties e.g. minor maintenance work, remedial painting and decorating, repairs to fixing, receiving deliveries of goods and equipment, setting out and putting away furniture, etc.

Requirements

Education/Qualification

High School Diploma or GED Required

Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation Required

Hours & Wage TBA.
